Experience

After graduating with an Honours degree in Physics Robert joined NRPB as a Radiation Protection Adviser providing a range of technical and consultancy services to both long and short duration contract customers. This covered a wide variety of applications including the use, storage and transport of radioactive materials; the generation and disposal of active wastes, the use and installation of radiation generators x-ray and betatrons, electron beam welders etc and work with naturally radioactive materials.

Robert also provided non-ionising technical services including training, covering optical radiations, static electromagnetic fields and time varying electromagnetic fields and waves.

In 1999 Robert joined RWE NUKEM (formerly AEA Technology Nuclear Engineering) as a RPA providing services to a number of nuclear and non-nuclear clients.

In May 2003, Robert founded and operated his own RPA consultancy business, RPA Consultants Limited, before joining Aurora Health Physics Services in 2004.
