Experience

Raj joined Aurora in August 2006 having previously worked for the Health Protection Agency (HPA). During his time at Aurora and the HPA, Raj has acted as a Radiation Protection Adviser (RPA) and Laser Protection Adviser (LPA) to a wide range of customers. This included customers in the industrial, research, defence, transport, academic and medical sectors. Raj has been involved in a number of radiation clean-up and remediation projects which has required the employment of sound radiation protection techniques in order to achieve best practice and results for the client.

In addition to being a LPA, Raj has also helped to provide a number of non-ionising radiation services, which included advice and hazard assessments of exposures to static fields, electromagnetic fields and waves and broadband optical sources.

During his career, Raj has helped to provide and manage a number of training courses both in the ionising and non-ionising areas.
