RPA Advice

Regulation 13 of the Ionising Radiations Regulations 1999 requires that every employer who works with ionising radiations appoints a Radiation Protection Adviser (RPA).

We can fulfill this role for our clients either as sole RPAs or to supplement a client's existing RPA resource.

The services we can provide range from the production of Prior Risk Assessments required by Regulation 7 of the IRRs, advice on control measures to ensure that occupational exposures remain as low as reasonably practicable and Operational Health Physics Support to ensure that the control measures are implemented and are effective.

We can also undertake Radiological Safety Audits to ensure that control measures remain appropriate and effective.

We can provide this service throughout the whole lifetime of a plant or process, from the design stage through operation to decommissioning
