Experience

Paul started as a Post Irradiation Examination (PIE) operator for the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) at Winfrith in 1984. Throughout his early career with UKAEA Paul provided operational support services in a variety of environments and facilities on the Winfrith site.

Paul moved to AEA Technology in 1995 and following qualification as a health physics surveyor commenced the support and provision of health physics services to UKAEA at the Winfrith site. During this time Paul also provided health physics support to a variety of contracts around the UK and overseas.

In 2001 Paul rejoined UKAEA as a member of the Waste Assessment Team providing waste characterisation services to various site projects at Winfrith. Responsibilities also included the day to day management of the Winfrith Segmented Gamma Scanner (SGS) and management of the radioactive sources used by the Waste Assessment Team.

Paul joined Aurora in 2009 as a Health Physics Supervisor/Trainee Radiation Protection Adviser to provide support to our growing number of clients.
