Since Non-Ionising Radiation (NIR) sources can vary enormously in their characteristics, effects on health and required protection measures Aurora have developed a number of different training courses covering all aspects of NIR safety.

All Aurora’s NIR safety courses will initially focus on subjects such as the physical properties of the relevant NIR, how it interacts with matter and the biological effects of exposure to it. Following on from this, training will focus on carrying out risk assessments, making measurements and then implementing control measures in order to reduce levels of exposure to NIR.

The training courses can be customised for the client's needs or particular use of NIR and can be run at Aurora’s or client's premises. Aurora can provide NIR safety courses on the following topics:
