instrumentation
selection of radiological instrumentation
The selection of the wrong monitoring instrumentation can be costly, ineffective or, if it is incapable of detecting the radiation in question, dangerous. That is why Regulation 13 of the Ionising Radiations Regulations 1999 requires the employer to consult their RPA regarding the initial selection and subsequent testing of radiological monitoring equipment.
Within our team of RPAs our experience includes appointment as a Qualified Person for testing of radiological instrumentation, establishing and managing a UKAS accredited instrument calibration facility and the design of nucleonic instrumentation.
Also, given our extensive network of contacts within both the nuclear and non-nuclear sectors we have access to a wide body of information and experience regarding the operability of most types of radiological instrumentation.
calibration of radiological instrumentation
In addition to the selection of monitoring equipment, Aurora can facilitate the routine testing and calibration of radiological protection instrumentation services through our relationships with several UKAS accredited calibration facilities. We will always select the most appropriate calibration facility based upon your individual need.
