In addition to radiation protection advice, Aurora can facilitate the provision of dosimetry services through our relationships with several Health and Safety Executive (HSE) Approved Dosimetry Services (ADS). We only promote the use of an ADS which is an expert in accurate radiation dose assessments with good customer service. The most common type of whole body monitor used is the optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) dosemeter. Extremity monitoring and internal dosimetry (i.e. biological monitoring, static air sampling and personal air sampling) can also be readily facilitated. Aurora can also assist clients in reviewing dose records as well as assist in developing and maintaining electronic records and summaries of record doses.
