Experience


Bob graduated from Sheffield University in 1988 with an honours degree in Physics, following this he joined UKAEA and worked for 5 years in their Sensors and Instrumentation department. This work involved the research and design of both intrusive and extrusive instruments for a wide range of nuclear applications. Subsequently he moved to the RPA service where he worked, for 7 years, before leaving and starting Aurora Health Physics Services. Bob now has 13 yrs experience with the HP field in a wide range of facilities throughout the UK and overseas. This diversity of work has provided Bob with a wide range of experience that includes alpha handling facilities, the decommissioning of operational reactors, the safe operation of NORM facilities both in this country and the middle east, the decommissioning of heavily shielded cave lines, the design of X-ray facilities, the day to day safe operation of nuclear laboratories, the handling and storage of GTLDs and providing RPA advice to both small users and the oil and gas industry.
